In the Spirit Doll series, 'A Looker' is the first to incorporate materials from a region outside the coast of California. 'A Looker, 2016' is made of materials collected in the region of the Yosemite Miwok people, and captures the special journey during which the materials for her and many more to come were collected.
'A Looker' honors the spirit of the Miwok, their knowledge and care of the Yosemite region so ancient that their strength, among many, is woven into the land of gigantic beauty, their spirits present in everything if you look close enough.'
